Summer Day Camp FAQ

  • Do I have to be a Rabun Gap student to participate in summer day camps? 

    No, our camps are open to the public unless otherwise noted. 
  • Where do day camps take place?

    Our Summer Day Camps make use of our beautiful 1,400-acre campus and athletic facilities. More details about dropoff and pickup locations will be emailed to parents before the camp start date.
  • What forms are required to attend camp?

    All campers must complete and return the required permission and medical forms to attend summer day camps. Forms can be accessed through the online registration process. 
  • What is your payment and cancelation policy?

    A $30 registration fee per child is due at the time of registration.  This fee will be applied to the total amount due for summer camps.  The balance of the charges can be split into monthly installments.  All camps must be paid in full by June 1.
  • What is a typical day like at Summer Camp?

    For arts and athletics camps, our experienced coaches lead campers in structured skill development and activities. Typically, there is a time at the beginning of camp for warm-ups, then campers participate in specialized training. 

    Academic and enrichment camps are led by our teachers and include a variety of projects and activities throughout the day. 

    Some camps include a performance or parent showcase to conclude the week. More details about the daily schedule will be communicated by the camp leader.  
  • What should I bring to camp?

    All sports camp participants need to wear apparel appropriate to their sport or activity.  Additional information for each specific camp will be emailed to parents before the camp start date.  

    All campers are required to bring a water bottle. For outdoor sports camps, participants are encouraged to also bring a hat and apply sunscreen prior to arriving at camp. For all athletic camps, participants are encouraged to bring appropriate sports gear for their sport. Additional information for each specific camp will be emailed to parents before the camp start date.  

    Campers must leave electronic devices at home so they can be fully immersed in the camp experience. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of campers’ personal property, including electronic devices.
  • Is lunch provided?

    Lunch is not provided for Summer Day Camps. Campers are encouraged to bring a water bottle, and a lunch if the camp is full-day.

  • Can I register multiple children for camp?

    Yes! You will be able to register multiple children on the same registration portal. 
  • Who can I contact with questions about camp?

    Please contact Kiana Miles at kmiles@rabungap.org for general camp and registration questions. Parents will receive an email at least a week prior to camp with important details about pickup/dropoff and what to bring.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is a private, coeducational day and boarding school for grades Pre-K through 12. Centrally located between Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC, and Asheville, NC, we prepare young people for college, career, and a lifetime of leadership and service.
