The Teaching & Learning Center

Located in a dedicated space on the third floor of Hodgson Hall, The Teaching and Learning Center includes individual and group study space, the Math Lab, computer lab, and dedicated classrooms for one-on-one support. Our TLC faculty work with students in small groups in the Learning Center to help them achieve mastery in verbal subject areas, and math resource teachers are available to assist students in the Math Lab. Both are open every period, every day, and during evening study hall on Monday through Thursday. Peer tutors are also available through the Learning Center to help with an array of academic courses.

Learning Support

List of 3 items.

  • Lower School

Lower School students can work with our Learning Specialist who specializes in helping with learning difficulties. The program includes multisensory reading instruction, particularly for students with dyslexia. We also use auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning tools, and a phonics-based reading approach. Cost for this program is based on the individual student's plan.
  • Middle School

Students in grades 6-8 have onsite access to learning support with their teachers. The Middle School holds tutorial time each day for students to get one-on-one support with their teachers. There are also options for after school tutoring and support when needed.
  • International Students / ESOL

We offer a robust English Immersion program for speakers of English as a Second Language in Upper and Middle School. These courses follow the traditional Humanities curriculum and are designed to help students with English rhetoric and writing. We also offer Bridge language support with our English Immersion staff.
