Our Commitment to Affordability

We seek motivated, high-achieving, talented students with character and promise — and then we partner with parents to make a Rabun Gap education accessible. Whether through providing financial aid at the Upper and Middle Schools, or keeping tuition rates affordable at the Lower School, we remain committed to our mission to serve students from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds.

* Tuition includes instruction, most school trips and class experiences, daily lunch, and school yearbook. For boarding students, tuition includes room and board, all meals, international medical insurance, and most weekend and student life activities/trips.

  • Additional Costs

    School uniforms, books (grade 6-12), breakfast and dinner for day students, school supplies, SAT/ACT/AP testing fees, and medical expenses are not included in tuition. Upper School students are expected to provide their own laptop. 

    Boarding families pay for all flights and transportation to get their students to campus - Rabun Gap provides a one-way airport shuttle on travel dates for $55. There is also a SEVIS fee for international students needing an F1 visa. Contact the Admission Office for a comprehensive list. 

    Other optional costs include bus service for day students, afternoon enrichment programming, travel study/school break trips, varsity sport gear packages, and personal spending money.

  • Bus Service & Enrichment Program Fees

    Local Bus Service: Rabun Gap offers optional local bus service for day students with morning, afternoon, and evening routes. The cost for a seat on a local bus route is $1,200 for the year (2024-2025 school year) and $8 each way. 

    Lower School Aftercare: Our aftercare program for grade K-5 provides supervision and enrichment until 6 PM. Cost for the program is $25 per week. 

    RabunGap+: Afternoon enrichment programming through Rabun Gap+ is an extra fee.

  • Payment Plans

    We understand private and boarding school is a major investment. We offer interest-free, monthly payment plans through your billing portal. For information about payment plans, contact Molly Foster at mfoster@rabungap.org.
