Seniors focus on college for class experience days

The Class of 2020 took part in a variety of college admission workshops during the two-day experience.
It was a focus on the future during two class experience days for the Class of 2020.

Member of the senior class took part in sessions and workshops organized by the College Counseling Office. The experience kicked off Monday with a special presentation from Rick Clark, director of undergraduate admission at Georgia Tech and author of "The Truth  About College Admissions."

Clark told students to think about the college admission journey as an experience rather than a process. Each senior received a copy of his book.

The two-day class experience continued with workshops across campus focused on a variety of college admission topics, including financial aid, athletic recruitment, and busting college admission myths. Seniors gained valuable insight that they will use as they start applying to colleges over the next few months.

"This was such a great experience for our seniors," said College Counseling Director Ms. Cheryl Barber. "They learned so much about college admissions and are well-equipped to start the application process. I can't wait to celebrate some awesome acceptances this year!"
