Amber Miller joins Middle School as new performing arts teacher

Ms. Miller will teach music, dance, and theatre for grades 6-8.
Ms. Amber Miller has joined the Rabun Gap faculty to teach performing arts at the Middle School.

A native of Habersham County, GA, Ms. Miller holds a BFA in musical theatre from Mars Hill University and is an experienced performer and instructor in all aspects of the performing arts.

Ms. Miller is a familiar face at Rabun Gap, serving as a dance instructor at The Studio at Rabun Gap, the School’s after-school performing arts program, for the past two years. At The Studio, she teaches a variety of classes, including musical theatre, jazz, tap, and creative movement.

“It’s rare to find an opportunity to teach all three aspects of the performing arts —  music, theatre, and dance. This is a dream come true for me,” Ms. Miller said. “I am so excited to join the Rabun Gap family. I’m already familiar with many of our students from my classes at The Studio and I am looking forward to working with all of our Middle School performing arts students soon.”

Performing arts classes at the Middle School will begin in the third trimester, after Spring Break. Middle School elective classes will be offered in dance, theatre, and chorus.

“We were blessed to find Ms. Miller in our midst to join our performing arts faculty,” said Head of Middle School Mr. Bill Rothe. “She is a highly trained professional in dance, acting, and singing and will bring an arts presence to the Middle School that will only make us a stronger school. I am certain she will catapult us in our performing arts programming in the coming year.”

Ms. Miller lives in Habersham County with her husband Andy and their daughter Ella.

“We’re excited to plug-in to the Rabun Gap community,” Ms. Miller said.
