Third-graders host “wax museum”

Third-grade researched famous historical figures and invited the other classes to view their "wax museum".
Ms. Anderson's third graders hosted a "wax museum" in their classroom on Friday, Feb. 15.

The project stemmed from the students reading biographies. Ms. Anderson assigned each of the students with the task of researching and writing a report on a famous historical person. They then created a presentation board with their research and designed a costume to dress up like their chosen person.

They set up their classroom like a wax museum and invited the other classes at the Evelyne Sheats Lower School to come to see it. The third-graders eagerly shared what they had learned about their historical figures with the other students and teachers. The people that the third-graders represented were Albert Einstein, Harry Houdini, Harriet Tubman, Ferruccio Lamborghini, the Beatles, Amelia Earhart, Walt Disney, and Sacagawea.

Everyone was impressed with the work the third-graders put into creating the wax museum. It was a great success!
