Eagles wrestling finishes strong at State

The Eagles placed 6th overall with 129 points and three state runner-up finishes.
It was a big weekend for the varsity wrestling team at the NCISAA state tournament in Asheville! The Eagles placed 6th overall with 129 points and three state runner-up finishes. Eight out of the eleven guys finished in the top six (Alperen Aras-2nd, Quill Martin- 2nd, Miles Watts -2nd, Cole Owens- 3rd, Aidan Loring -3rd, Matt Campbell - 3rd, Joey Cao- 6th, and Dillon Jenkins- 6th). Our wrestling coaches also brought home honors. Coach Jamey Ledford was named  NCISAA Wrestling Head Coach of the Year, and Coach Thomas Fon was named Assistant Coach of the Year. Go Eagles!
