Jack Sumner '27 wins gold medal at Junior Olympics

Lower School student Jack Sumner ‘27 wins gold medal in the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
It’s been an exciting summer for Jack Sumner ‘27, a 4th grade Lower School student, who participated in the AAU Junior Olympic Games this past July.

Jack, along with 10 fellow swimmers from the Highlands Hurricane Swim Team, travelled to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the Games. On July 29, Jack and his relay team were able to beat out the competition, winning the gold medal for the 200 medley relay. This was the second year Jack was able to qualify and compete at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
