Wrestlers Martin and Cao bring home bronze from NCISAA 3A State Meet
Quill Martin '20 and Joey Cao '20 earned third place bronze medals at the NCISAA 3A State Tournament. Other placers include Matt Campbell '20 at 4th, Aidan Loring '20 at 5th, and Cole Owens '20 at 6th.
The class of 2020 shined as the Eagles Wrestling team capped off an outstanding season with two bronze medals at the NCISAA 3A State Tournament held at Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) Friday and Saturday. Leading the way were Quill Martin '20 (170 lb) and Joey Cao '20 (106 lb) who earned third place bronze medals. Martin also set a new single season record with 41 wins.
Other placers include Matt Campbell '20 at fourth, Aidan Loring '20 at fifth, and Cole Owens '20 at sixth. The team finished ninth out of sixteen teams for the second year in a row and six points higher than last season despite having a half full roster.
