Big win in the first round!

Rabun Gap exploded for 5 runs in the fourth inning to defeat the Covenant Day Lions in the first round of the state tournament Tuesday afternoon.  The Eagles put together 7 hits to push across 5 runs in the inning.  Dallas Earnhardt’s two out double drove in 2 runs to start the scoring.  An Enrique Morales single drove in Earnhardt and then a 2 run single by Hunter Stanley drove in the final 2 runs of the inning. Adam Justus pitched 5 and 1/3 innings to earn the win and Carter King struck out the final Lion batter with two runners on base to record the save.
