Eagle's rebound to take the second game

In game two of the double header, the Eagles broke the Cougars 22 game winning streak with a 4-3 comeback victory.  High Point jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning before an Enrique Morales double and a Garrison Melzer single allowed courtesy runner Caleb Croft to score on a passed ball in the third and knot the score.  After a 2 run Cougar homerun in the fourth inning the Eagles entered the sixth down 3-1.  Hunter Stanley lead off the sixth with a single and a walk to Garrison Melzer put two runners on with no outs.  Harrison Shomaker moved the runners up with a sacrifice bunt before Carter King was intentionally walked. Jordan Hajazin then lined a pitch into left field to drive in two runs and tie the score.  King moved up to third on the play and then scored the go ahead run on a squeeze bunt by Seth Justus.  In the bottom of the sixth, High Point loaded the bases with no outs, but Michael Messer worked out of the jam by getting a ground out and a pop up before striking out the final batter of the inning.  With the win, Messer runs his record to 5-0 on the season. The Eagles record is now 17-6 entering the final two weeks of the season.
