Eagles lose to Rabun County in the rematch

Rabun Gap suffered its worst loss of the season when it fell to Rabun County 12-8 on Monday night.  Things fell apart early for the Eagles as they gave up 7 runs in the first inning on just 2 hits to go along with 4 walks, a hit batter and an error.  After committing two errors in the second to give up 2 more unearned runs, the Eagles finally settled down.  Rabun Gap hit the ball well and ended up collecting 15 hits for the game, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.  At the plate, the Eagles were led by Carter King who went 4-4 with 2 singles, a double and a triple and Jordan Hajazin who had a single, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI’s.  Divontae Murphy, Adam Justus, and Enrique Morales all had 2 hits (a single and a double for each) in the loss.  The loss ended Rabun Gap’s 4 game winning streak and dropped the Eagles to 15-5 on the year.
