Eagles lose close one to Wesleyan

Rabun Gap saw their five game win streak come to an end with a 2-1 loss to High Point Wesleyan in a game played at the Christ School.  The Eagles pitching was outstanding, but a couple of errors lead to an unearned run and the Rabun Gap bats never got going.  After falling behind 2-0, the Eagles pushed across a run on a Hunter Stanley bunt in the fifth, but that was the only offense they could muster on the day.  Gavyn Jones was the only repeat hitter for the Eagles.  The loss drops the Eagles’ record to 11-4.
