Rabun Gap moves to 11-3
Michael Messer and Dallas Earnhardt combined on a one hitter in a dominating pitching performance as the Eagles defeated the Franklin Panthers 11-0 in five innings Wednesday afternoon. Messer pitched the first two innings to pick up the victory and run his record to 4-0 on the season. Earnhardt pitched the final 3 innings striking out 8 batters to earn the save. The Eagles collected 12 hits with Garrison Melzer, Hunter Stanley, Enrique Morales, and Divontae Murphy each getting a pair of hits in the win. Murphy had a triple and 2 RBI’s while Seth Justus also added a triple and drove in 3 runs. With the victory, the Eagles’ record now stands at 11-3.
