Eagles win at Murphy

The Eagles played their strongest game of the young season on Saturday, pounding out 22 hits against a strong Murphy Bulldog team to cruise to a 19-7 win.  Rabun Gap scored 7 runs in the second inning to grab a lead they would never relinquish.  Seth Justus started on the mound and went three innings to record his first win of the season.  At the plate seven Eagles had a multi-hit game, led by Garrison Melzer who had 4 hits including a double and 3 RBI’s.  Carter King, Enrique Morales, Harrison Shomaker, and Jordan Hajazin had 3 hits apiece with Hajazin driving in 5 runs.  Seth Justus and Gavyn Jones each finished the day with 2 hits.  With the win, the Eagles are now 6-2 on the season.
