Eagles drop first game back from Spring Break

Earnhardt
Rabun Gap dropped a 5-4 decision to Tuscola in their first game back from spring break.  The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Carter King’s leadoff homerun on the game’s first pitch.  After the Mountaineers had gone ahead 3-1, Rabun Gap tied the game with 2 runs in the fifth only to see Tuscola respond with 2 more runs in the bottom of the inning.  The Eagles battled back to score a run in the sixth and make the score 5-4, but the rally died when they left runners at second and third to end the inning.  Carter King led the Eagles with 3 hits in the game while Seth Justus and Garrison Melzer chipped in with 2 hits apiece.  Seth Justus was the losing pitcher for the Eagles.
