Dance team wins big at Celebrity Dance Regionals in Atlanta
Rabun Gap took 30 dancers, from all divisions, to the Celebrity Dance Competition Regionals in Atlanta on February 7-9. Our students competed against over 750 dancers from across the country at one of the top competitions in the nation—and our Eagles truly shined!
Here are the fantastic results from our students:
Lower School Division:
- Contemporary: Ollie Forkner, Hallie Siebert, Hadley Cohee, and Indy Renken – Gold Award
- Jazz: Ali Miles, Scarlett Zavala, and Everly Weber – High Gold Award
- Hip Hop: Oaklyn Chitwood, Ali White, and Chloe Miller – High Gold Award & 1st Place in Division
Teen Division:
- Jazz: Sophia Burnett, Aria Wright, Mya Burnett – High Gold Award, 3rd Place in Division, & Bravo Award (Judges' Choice for Most Rousing Performance!)
Upper School Division:
- Contemporary: Abigail Brenner, Clara Pedall, Makenna Bilbrey, and Harper Phillips – Gold Award
- Senior Jazz: Harper Phillips, Sienna Belaire, Erin Turner – High Gold Award
- Hip Hop 2: Ava Grace Bonomo, Kite Stribling, Sunny Lin, Emma Jenkins, Ava Oh – Gold Award, 2nd Place in Division & 2nd Place Overall for Senior Small Group Dances
- Hip Hop 1: Sienna Belaire, Anni Geren, Layla Burnett, Jasmine Abranyi, Natalie Oh, and Abby Hartridge – High Gold Award, 1st Place in Division, & 1st Place Overall for Senior Small Group Dances
Individual DanceDown Competition:
- Chloe Miller – Spirit Award
- Hallie Siebert & Makenna Bilbrey – Scholarship Awards
