Ozu Meija returns as school chaplain, bible and world religions teacher

Reverend Ozu Mejia returns to Rabun Gap as the School Chaplain. He will also join our counseling team and will teach Bible/World Religions at the Upper School.

Rev. Mejia worked at Rabun Gap from 2003-2008 and from 2011-2017 as a Spanish teacher and soccer coach. During his previous tenure at Rabun Gap, he also assisted with our chapel program.  For the past few years, he has worked at Colegio Inglés in Mexico as the sixth-grade Language Arts teacher and at Iglesia Nacional Presbiteriana: Jesuscristo Fuente de Redención as the Youth Pastor. Rev. Mejia is currently pursuing a Masters in Latin American Studies and holds a Bachelor in Theology from Seminario Teológico San Pablo.

He enjoys playing games with his son, watching soccer, and reading about Theology. Rev. Mejia looks forward to returning to Rabun Gap with his family. He will live in Ernest with his wife, Monica and their son, Isaac ‘31.
