College Profile: Wendy Song

Senior Wendy Song will be moving to New York City this fall to study at New York University.

Wendy, a fourth-year boarding student from Shanghai, China, earned an early decision admission to NYU. Only 12.2% of applicants received offers of admission from NYU for this fall, according to the university.

"I chose NYU because it is a large, bustling city with many opportunities to explore the world and my intended major. And plenty of good food!" Wendy said. "Applied learning at Rabun Gap helped me while choosing colleges. At NYU, I get to apply my knowledge right away in a city full of chances."

Wendy is a Gap Guide student admission ambassador, a four-year member of the varsity swim team, and assists at athletic events as a part of our after-school athletic support team. She plans to major in mathematics and would like to explore more the quantitative side of economics, like analyzing data and constructing modeling for investment companies, for a future career.
