The best of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s student talent in the arts was on display Saturday, April 8 at the annual MADFest Showcase.
MADFest celebrates student Music, Art, and Drama with performances in cirque, vocal solo and ensemble, instrumental solo and ensemble, dance solo and ensemble, drama, and multidiscipline. Auditions were held Friday, April 7 for students to compete for a spot in Saturday’s community performance held in the Rearden Theater. Visual art was also on display throughout the Arts & Technology Building.
Abigail Gilbert ’17 won this year’s Audience Choice Award for her dance solo “Solo Dolo.” Faculty Choice Awards went to Katie Cox ’19 for her monologue “Bullied, Bungled and Botched;” Olivia Tavolacci ‘19 for her cirque act “Falling,” and The Nacoochee Breakers for their dance performance “Addicted.”
