Eagles roll over ACA 18-0 in season conference opener
The Eagles dominated ACA in season conference opener at home Friday night, rolling over the Lions 18-0 in four innings.
On Friday night, the Eagles opened their conference schedule by hosting the ACA Lions. After Steven Koster’s diving catch in centerfield prevented the Lions from scoring in the first inning, Rabun Gap exploded for 11 runs on 8 hits in their half of the inning. The offensive barrage continued with the Eagles pushing across 3 runs in the second and 4 more in the third before the game was called because of the run rule.
Jake Knowles earned the win on the mound, pitching 3 scoreless innings. Seth Justus had 3 hits, 5 RBI’s, and scored 4 runs to lead the Eagles. Michael Messer and Jordan Hajazin each had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s, while Gai Kumamoto had a double and scored 4 runs to help the Eagles offense. Rabun Gap’s record now stands at 2-5.
