The Rabun Gap Boys Varsity Basketball team has gotten off to a slow start this season as they adjust to their new roles on the team. After two disappointing losses, the Eagles faced Wesleyan Christian of High Point, NC, who is ranked #6 in the nation by MaxPreps.
The Eagles made adjustments after the first two losses and played an outstanding game against this national powerhouse before falling 66-60. The game was within reach for the Eagles until the final seconds when Wesleyan made two free-throws with 7 seconds left to take the six point lead.
Juniors Adama Kpaan, Jonathan McFall, and Abba Wague led the way.
Kpaan had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
McFall had 17 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
