Eagles Varsity Baseball team wins doubleheader against Southlake and moves to 15-4 for season

The Eagles won both games of the doubleheader on Saturday against Southlake, 6-1 and 14-8.  Carter King picked up his 100th strikeout as an Eagle.  With the two wins, the Eagles are now 15-4 for the season.  Go Eagles!
Folllowing a shutout against Hayesville Thursday, the Eagles went into the weekend with a 13-4 record and a doubleheader scheduled at home Saturday against NCISAA 3A opponent South Lake Christian.

The weather was superb and Carter King '16 started on the mound in the first game.  King had an excellent day and not only did the Eagles win 6-1, King picked up his 100th career strikeout as an Eagle.  

Adam Justus '17 was the starting pitcher in the second game.The Eagles had a big 5th inning in the tight game, scoreing 7 runs to take a 10-7 lead.   The Eagles put four more runs on the board and held Southlake to one, winning the game 14-8 and moving to 15-4 for the season.  Go Eagles!
