Sixth-graders present Biome and Cultures Museum

Sixth-grade students in the Class of 2028 presented their capstone projects at the annual Biome and Cultures Museum on November 16, 2021 at the Middle School.

This applied, interdisciplinary project combined skills in science and humanities to explore how place and landforms influenced culture and people in ancient times. Students became experts in a region of land in the world for Mr. BySura’s science class, and researched a historical person or culture who explored or lived on that land in Mr. McKenna’s humanities class. Students created unique exhibits, participated in a living history as their historical figure, and wrote research papers as a part of the project. The museum project is in its 14th year at the Middle School.
