Liz Dinwiddie - Director of Strings

Ms. Liz Dinwiddie is our Director of Strings and leads the strings curriculum at the Lower and Middle Schools. She will teach students during the school day at the Middle School.

Ms. Dinwiddie taught at Ashley Hall before coming to Rabun Gap.  She has trained string teachers in Nigeria and has presented over 50 sessions at teacher training conferences around the United States. As a performer, she has played with orchestras across the United States and in the Czech Republic and Italy.  Ms. Dinwiddie is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in music education at Indiana University, holds a Masters of Music in Viola Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from Boston University.  

In her free time, Ms. Dinwiddie enjoys hiking, reading, taking road trips, and spending time with her dog, Wendell.
