Tommy Manning joins faculty as Upper School math teacher

Mr. Tommy Manning will teach math at the Upper School and serve as Dorm Head in Jane Dorm.

Mr. Manning has 18 years of experience in boarding schools and was the winner of the Khan-Page Master Teacher Award in 2020. He has served at boarding schools in Switzerland, Colorado, Maine, Utah, and Minnesota. Most recently, he taught math and served as a dorm parent at the American School in Switzerland. He has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the South.

In addition to his role in the dorm and classroom, he will also coach JV volleyball and baseball.  

Mr. Manning is an avid runner; he was on the US Mountain Running Team from 2010-2012, is a two-time Masters World Mountain Running Champion, and is a six-time finisher of the Boston Marathon.
