Students enjoy Homecoming 2020 festivities

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School celebrated Homecoming on campus with Upper School students on October 16-17, 2020. Despite the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions, students had a blast with socially-distanced fun! Alumni Homecoming was rescheduled to the spring.

On Friday night, the Upper School held a bonfire and recognized senior athletes and arts students. Lower School teacher Mr. Malcom Boone provided lots of excitement and hyped up the crowd.

On Saturday, the Eagles football team battled against rival Christ School in the new stadium. After the game, students enjoyed a evening of fun at a fall festival near the dorms, complete with a rock-climbing wall, inflatables, yard games, and delicious food.

Saturday night, the Homecoming Court was honored. The 2020-2021 Homecoming King was Marco Gonzalez and Homecoming Queen was Gianna Sparks.  Other court representatives were seniors Will Prim, Rachel Wu, Nabi Ndiaye, Eri-ife Olayinka, Emma Scott, and Alex Mesher; juniors Marco Pena and Katie Moore; sophomores Zeb Coghill and Kenleigh Aebi; and freshmen Daniel Wu and Georgia Mattis.

Homecoming Weekend ended with a bang as students enjoyed a private fireworks show on campus.
