Alex Mescher '21 named Commended Student
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is proud to announce Alex Mescher ‘21 of Otto, North Carolina, has been named a Commended Student in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Alex is among the top 50,000 highest-scorers of the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), taken during the junior year. Around 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students are selected from approximately 1.5 million students who took the 2019 PSAT/NSMQT last fall.
“Alex is a well-rounded student who excels in the classroom. We couldn’t be more proud of him for this commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program,” said Head of Upper School Dr. Erika Farr.
