Cheyenne Chitwood joins Middle School as Administrative Assistant

Cheyenne Chitwood is the new Administrative Assistant at the Middle School.
Cheyenne Chitwood is returning to her family roots, joining the Rabun Gap staff as Middle School administrative assistant. She has a special connection to Rabun Gap; her great-grandmother Eunice Singleton ’35  was one of the early graduates of Rabun Gap!

In her new role, Ms. Chitwood will manage the front office at the Niles Bolton Middle School Complex, supporting Middle School administrators, faculty, parents, and students. She fills the shoes of the beloved Ms. Janie Owens, who has been at the Middle School for many years.  Mrs. Chitwood served in a similar position at Trimont Christian Academy for five years and has a computer technology certification from North Georgia College.

“I have loved seeing firsthand the benefit other families have gained by being a part of this wonderful community,” said Ms. Chitwood.

A Rabun County native, Ms. Chitwood lives in Tiger with her husband Tanner, who pastors a local church, and their children Oaklyn ’31 and Judah. She has a passion for service and has volunteered locally with youth ministries and church programs, as well as with Operation Christmas Child and the Angel Tree program.  Ms. Chitwood enjoys spending quality time with her family, being in ministry with her husband, and visiting waterfalls
