RG 2 - Veritas 0

The ladies had a needed home game this morning versus Veritas Christian Academy and started off looking incredible as Taylor Nickerson, Stella Vogelbacher, and Milli Watts served excellent in the first set tallying 13 points combined. Defensively, the Eagles were a new team when compared to the night before passing up tough attacks and putting the ball in play for their setters and hitters consistently. The Eagles rolled to victory in the first set on a service point from Savanna Jones to win 25-18. In the second set, the game was a little closer as the girls got comfortable, they began making some service and hitting errors. After a mid-game timeout tied at 14-14, the ladies regained their composure and didn't look back. Carson Hill started the serving streak with 5 straight points, and Mary Elizabeth Smith added 3 more, as the Eagles didn't hesitate and drilled Veritas in the second half of the set, winning 25-16, picking up their third win this week. Coach BySura had this to say after the game, "Wow, what a difference a day makes. We fixed some problems from the night before and boy, these ladies did not disappoint anyone today. Excellent effort and movement today by my girls. Couldn't be prouder!"
