J. Tom Morgan, celebrated attorney and author, speaks to Rabun Gap students

Former District Attorney of Georgia and author of Ignorance is No Defense, a Teenagers Guide to Georgia Law educated our students about adolescent law on September 3.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School welcomed attorney and author J. Tom Morgan to campus Tuesday, September 3 for a talk with students about Georgia law and how it applies to teenagers. Morgan spoke to Upper School and Middle School students and faculty during the School’s Opening Academic Convocation.

A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Morgan is an experienced trial attorney and is considered an expert in adolescent law. He currently serves as a professor at Western Carolina University, where he teaches Criminal Justice, and also practices law in Atlanta, GA. He is a former District Attorney in Georgia and has appeared on several television shows; including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, CNN's Talk Back Live, Court TV, and 48 Hours and has also been featured in People and Parenting Magazine.

Morgan is the author of Ignorance is No Defense, A Teenager’s Guide to Georgia Law and co-author of Ignorance is No Defense, A College Student’s Guide to North Carolina Law. A strong advocate for children, he regularly travels to schools and other organizations to educate teens and adults on adolescent law.
