Rabun Gap 20, Cullowhee Valley 14 (W)

In their 3rd game, the Rabun Gap MS Softball Lady Eagles won their 2nd game with a score of 20 to 14 at Cullowhee MS. Lady Eagles have a 2 win and 1 loss record. Mili Watts the pitcher had 7 strike outs only giving up 5 hits. Offensively, she had 3 hits with 2 home runs, one was a grand slam and she earned 8 RBI's. She earned and was given the game ball. Claren Spivey and Catherine Rauers  had 3 and 2 hits, scored 4 and 3 runs, and brought in 4 and 2 RBI's respectively. Arabella Nepa had 1 hit and scored 1.  Emma Duquette, Kite Stribling, Margaret Kelly together scored 9 runs after being walked or hit by a pitch. Eve Kelly stole first base after a strikeout and scored that run. Ruth Mechi-Lazano reached first base with a walk. Defensively, the Lady Eagles got 8 outs in the field while the rest were strikeouts. The girls had heart and never gave up. They cheered their team mates through every inning. Their 2nd win shows the girls that they can play a great game and should be proud of their accomplishments so far.
