Why did you choose to attend Rabun Gap?
I chose to attend Rabun Gap because when I visited the school, all of the teachers and staff made me feel welcome.

What makes Rabun Gap special to you?
What makes Rabun Gap special is how everyone here wants you to succeed! The teachers heavily support you. If you are ever going through something, you always have someone to turn to! Also, the Honor Code really makes the school special because it establishes a strong sense of community trust that you can't find in many places around the world.

What are your plans after you graduate? What are your plans for college?
After I graduate, I plan on being in school for another eight years. I want to go to college in the north and major in political science for my undergrad. For grad school, I want to go to either Harvard Law or Georgetown.

What is your favorite memory from Rabun Gap?
My favorite memory from Rabun Gap would have to be standing in the middle of the stage during my first dance performance in the dance concert last year!

What do you think you’ll miss the most about Rabun Gap when you graduate next year?
I think I will miss the honor code the most. Knowing that I can leave valuable items around without worrying about it being taken away is such a good feeling. I know it is very hard to get that same feeling in other places.

As a junior, what advice would you give a freshman just starting out in high school here at Rabun Gap?
Some advice that I would give to a freshman is that it is ok to make mistakes! Don’t take freshman year as a joke, but use it to help prepare for upcoming years.

Which Rabun Gap teachers and/or coaches have had the biggest impact on you during your time here?
Ms. Richardson has made one of the biggest impacts on my life during my time here at Rabun Gap. She is very amiable and helpful, even through stressful times. She always has positive energy and good spirit, no matter what time of day it is. I know I can always go to her if I am stressed, down or if I just need someone to talk to. After I graduate, I’ll miss her big smile!

Tell us something interesting about yourself that we don’t otherwise know.
Not many people know that I am heavily into planes, specifically commercial airliners. I could tell you what type of plane a plane is just by looking at it.

If you could choose to live during any era of history, when would you pick?
If I could chose to live during an era of history, it would be the Civil Rights era. I say this because I wonder what life would be like with segregation and I also wonder what type of role I would have in the Civil Rights movement.

What’s your favorite quote?
“You can’t change the choice you made, all you can do is not let it ruin you”- Olivia Pope

What interests do you pursue outside of the classroom?
Outside of the classroom, I pursue swimming, driving, and working. I really enjoy being young and being able to make money! Also, I try to spend as much time as possible with my family.
