Innovation sparks Vizeon Locker Space project

Three sixth-graders used the Middle School Makerspace to created a solution for school supplies and locker customization.
Three sixth-graders have created an automated school supply and locker customization machine and business at the Middle School.

Aiden McMullen, Parker Stribling, and Mattox Payne created Vizeon Locker Space as a project in Mrs. Long's Algebra 1 class. The class project involved simulating a business and applying advanced math skills as they figure out business-related calculations, including production cost curves, projected revenue, and break-even points.

They used the Middle School Makerspace to build  a robotic cashier where students can purchase supplies. The group used Lego robotics to create the machine. They are also making special order 3D-printed locker magnets and phone charging shelves. All funds from the sales will help continue furnishing the Middle School MakerSpace.
