Travel study trips offer experience of a lifetime

Rabun Gap students and faculty spent time in Italy, California, and the Florida Keys over Spring Break.
Three travel study groups spent Spring Break on exciting educational trips around the globe and across the United States.

Our Upper School study abroad students, accompanied by Mrs. Mannogian and Mr. and Mrs. Lakey, visited Spoleto, Italy. During their two-week excursion, the group was immersed in Italian art, cuisine, and culture. They toured many churches and historical landmarks and even enjoyed a cooking class!  Mr. Jonathan BySura took groups of sixth-eighth graders on science trips during the break. On the first week of Spring Break, the seventh and eighth-graders flew to Catalina Island, California. They spent the week exploring oceanography at a marine research station called CIMI Fox Landing, participating in exciting snorkeling adventures and labs. Click here for a highlight video.

The sixth and seventh-grade group spend the final week of Spring Break in the Florida Keys. This annual trip included swimming with dolphins, wakeboarding and watersports, learning about sea turtles, and more! Click here for a highlight video.
