Rabun Gap concede to Wesleyan Christian Academy in Championship final.
The Lady Eagles put up a tremendous fight in the NCISAA 3A State Championship game at Forsyth Country Day School on Saturday. WCA led 23-20 at the break.

Rabun Gap was as close as 32-29 with just over 2 minutes left in the third quarter, but a spurt by WCA increased their lead to 39-29 heading to the final quarter.  WCA forced the Lady Eagles out of their 2-3 zone and the lead quickly went to 17. Rabun Gap never quit and closed the final margin to 53-43. They held Wesleyan to under 28% shooting from the floor. Rabun Gap's 22 turnovers led to 22 points. Both teams made 14 field goals for the game. The major difference came at the FT line as WCA was 22 for 27 and Rabun Gap was 12 for 17. Josie Earnhardt led the Lady Eagles with 14 points. Claudia Lopez added 12 points. Manii Lewis finished with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists.
