Upper School Science Department hosts first STEAM Seminar of 2018

University of Georgia's Rabun County Extension Agent speaks about "Modern Agriculture"
Mr. John Scaduto, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for the UGA Rabun County Extension Service, led a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) seminar on "Modern Agriculture" on Wednesday, January 31 on the Upper School campus to approximately 35 students and community members. 
 
Mr. Scaduto's talk shared the importance of agriculture in our nation and world, the challenges we face in supplying healthy food to the world, and the engineering and technological applications and opportunities agriculture offers. He wrapped up his engaging talk by sharing the educational opportunities offered by the UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES), followed by an informative Q&A session.
