Rabun Gap honors Holy Season with Lessons & Carols

Rabun Gap held its annual service of Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 11, bringing students, faculty, and the community together in celebration of the Holy Season.
Rabun Gap held its annual service of Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 11, bringing students, faculty, and the community together in celebration of the Holy Season. 

Student speakers read each of the nine Lessons from the Bible, starting with the Fall of Man in Genesis, and culminating with the story of Jesus Christ's birth. Head of School Dr. Anthony Sgro delivered the final Lesson from John 1:1-14.

Rabun Gap's Chorus and Orchestra performed traditional Christmas songs following each lesson. Other performers included Gordon Williams and Friends, the sixth-grade Chorus, and Middle School Strings. Irene Kim ’17, Clayton Moore ’17, Subin Eem ’17, and Carter Minnich ’17 concluded the service with their rendition of "Joy to the World."
