Julia Stikeleather '10 returns as Middle School humanities teacher

Julia Stikeleather ’10 returns to her alma mater to teach humanities at the Middle School.

Ms. Stikeleather joined the Middle School faculty as a long-term substitute teacher in the 2021-2022 academic year. Before returning to Rabun Gap, she taught English Literature at Rabun County High School. She also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant to the editor of Curriculum and Teaching Dialogue at Georgia State University. Ms. Stikeleather is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Policy Studies with a focus in Social Foundations of Education from Georgia State University. She is nearing the dissertation phase of her degree. She holds an M.A. and a B.A. in Secondary English Education from Piedmont University.

Ms. Stikeleather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, reading, and baking in her free time. She lives in Clayton, GA with her daughter Maia ’32.
