Middle Schoolers represent Rabun Gap at MathCOUNTS competition

Three Middle School students braved the snow on Saturday, February 8, to attend the MathCOUNTS Northeast Chapter Competition in Cumming, GA.

Sophie Weatherly ‘26, Savanna Jones ‘25, and Sarah Childs ‘26 traveled with Middle School math teacher and MathCOUNTS coach Ms. Carrie Kuehne to the competition that was held at Alliance Academy. The team has been working with Ms. Kuehne to prepare for the competition, which tested their speed, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. The competition was a valuable learning experience for the young competitors who have gained a better idea of what to expect from the competition in years to come.
