Middle and Lower School students build rockets for Valentine's Day launch
Mr. BySura's sixth grade science classes came over to the Lower School on Thursday, February 6 to build rockets with the second graders!
The older students worked diligently to guide and assist the younger students in both Ms. Neidle's and Ms. Anderson's classes in building the Alpha III Estes rockets that will be launched at the Middle School on Valentine's Day - Friday, February 14. It was a busy group and a lot of cooperative learning, direction following, and collaboration took place between the two grades. Everyone in the Rabun Gap community is invited to attend the rocket launch.
Mr. BySura stated, "This is always such a fun day for the second graders, and an incredible opportunity for my sixth graders to step up as leaders and role models. I was proud of their participation and excitement to share this project with Ms. Anderson and Ms. Neidle's classes."
