Please note Rabun Gap will be open and operating on a regular schedule on Monday, January 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The middle school musical, Seussical, will take place February 12-15. Please make sure to keep these dates in mind as this is an all-school musical.
Important dates and reminders:
Monday, January 26th: All MS students will finish the day at the theater. Dismissal will take place on main campus this day.
Friday, January 30th: All MS students will start the day at the theater. Please drop off students at the theater on this date.
Afterschool musical practice: February 9-11 from 3:30-5:30pm.
Thursday, February 12th: Drop off at the upper school at 8:45am. No afterschool activities for middle schoolers this day. (Students will have a tech day and community show at the theater all day in preparation for the weekend of shows.)
Friday, February 13th: Students will have musical rehearsal after school from 3:30-5:30pm. The rehearsal will be followed by Friday's performance. Dinner will be provided for students in between.
Further details will be provided as we move closer to the performance date.
If you are aware that your student will be unable to participate in the middle school musical (February 12-15) due to extenuating circumstances, please notify us as soon as possible. This will help us plan accordingly and ensure a smooth production process.

In celebration of the holiday season, wear your best Chrismas sweater/outfit to school on Wednesday, December 17! All divisions are invited to participate in this festive dress day!
There will be no afternoon activities or aftercare on Wednesday, Dec. 17. There will be no evening 6 PM bus that day. This is the last day of class before Christmas Break.

The application deadline for new families for the 2026-2027 school year is February 1, 2026. If you have siblings or friends who are interested in enrolling at Rabun Gap, please make sure they submit their application before the deadline!
Students in all divisions can wear classroom dress all week. There will be no formal dress on Wednesday this week.
As a part of our global outreach this holiday season, we're collecting donations and raising money for residents of Jamaica who were hit hard by Hurricane Melissa this October. We're hosting a canned food drive to support the local families through Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, and collecting new and gently-used warm clothing for families in need through Christmas Break. Drop off in dining hall. Click READ MORE for all the details.
With the winter season approaching, please make sure to label all outerwear clothing in addition to school uniform items to ensure that they make it home to their appropriate owners.

Thanksgiving Break begins November 22, and classes resume on Tuesday, December 2. Travel day for boarding students is Saturday, November 22. Dorms are closed for Thanksgiving Break. For questions about travel, contact the Student Life Office at studentlife@rabungap.org.
