Graduation for the Class of 2022 is Sunday, May 15 at 10 AM.

Mark your calendar for Commencement Weekend! We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2022. Please note these Commencement Weekend Events that are required for all Upper School Students.
  • Upper School Awards Ceremony - May 14 at 5 PM in the Rearden Theater

  • Do I need tickets to attend Graduation outdoors?

    This year there will be no ticketing for our outdoor graduation. Seating is available first-come, first-serve, with reserved sections near the front for graduate families. 

    In the event of rain, there will be limited ticketed seating in the Rearden Theater.
    There will be five general seating tickets per senior for the indoor event if it rains. To reserve rain tickets, contact Susan Reimer at 706-746-7701 or graduation@rabungap.org.
  • Are masks required?

    No, masks are not required on campus. Attendees should use their own judgment and wear a mask/face covering if they feel comfortable. 
  • What should graduates wear?

    Dress guidelines for graduates:
    Option 1: Dress pants with leather belt, white Oxford shirt with school tie, dress shoes and dark socks.
    Option 2: Knee-length, modest, light-colored dress; light-colored dress shoes, heels not to exceed two inches.
  • What time can I arrive?

    The program begins at 10:00 AM. We have combined our baccalaureate service with the commencement ceremony. Class of 2022 graduates should arrive on campus at 9:00 AM and proceed directly to Hodgson Hall Courtyard. Attendees should arrive no earlier than 9:00 AM. There will be open seating for guests. 
  • Where do I park?

    Parking for graduation attendees will be available adjacent to the event site and near Hodgson Hall. There will be handicap parking available, and golf cart transportation will be offered to handicap attendees only.
     
    Graduates should park at the Arthur W. Smith Building parking lot, and employees will park at the recycling center barn or backlot. We will have plenty of people directing traffic.

    There will be no parking on other areas of campus. 
  • Will there be restrooms available?

    Access to restrooms will be available in the Addie Corn Ritchie Building and the Richard & John Woodruff Dining Hall.
  • How long will the ceremony be?

    Our graduation ceremony, with baccalaureate service incorporated, will run no longer than one hour and thirty minutes.
  • Will there be photos?

    Family members are invited to take photos at their seats during the ceremony, and on the event grounds before and after the ceremony. Please do not disrupt the ceremony to take photos. We have arranged to have photographers at the ceremony, and each graduate will be provided access to photos.
  • Will the event be live-streamed?

    Yes, the full ceremony will be live-streamed for graduates, families, and guests who won’t be able to attend. The live stream video will be published on the School’s YouTube and Facebook pages at 10:00 AM.
