Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School has a historic heritage with the Presbyterian Church.

The School's Chapel program is one of the oldest traditions at Rabun Gap and emphasizes a fostering of the Christian faith. Students with religious experiences outside the Christian tradition, as well as students who consider themselves non-religious, are welcome.

Students gather weekly for one school-day chapel service and one Sunday service (for the boarding community). Visits to various denominational services of worship and required Religious Studies courses promote tolerance, cultural awareness, and respect of differences.

Hiromi, '12 (Japan)

"In Bible class, we not only read the Bible but also have a lot of discussions which let us form our own theological opinions.  What I like most about this class is how sometimes, I would sit in a chapel service and hear a verse from the Bible that I studied in class.  Being able to understand the verse more thoroughly makes the whole chapel experience more meaningful."
