Rabun Gap Girls Basketball is a championship-level program built on decades of excellence and player development. Competing against elite competition in the Southeast, our student-athletes are challenged to grow as competitors, scholars, and leaders and are prepared to succeed at the collegiate level.

Championship Pedigree: Back-to-back NCISAA State Champions (2022, 2023) with 12 Final Four appearances and 5 State Championship appearances during Coach Earnhardt’s tenure.
Proven College Placement: Since 2013, 8 players placed at Division I programs and 12 at Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions.
Global Impact: Program alumna includes a two-time Olympic athlete representing her home country of Nigeria.
Elite Competition: Annual schedule of 28–30 games against top programs across the Southeast.
Recruitment Exposure: Participation in college showcases (Nov–Dec) with college coaches present to support the recruiting process.
Year-Round Development: Structured offseason training, in-season practice 5–6 days per week, and post-season support connecting players to competitive AAU programs.

Meet Our Coach

Coach Dale Earnhardt serves as Director of Athletics and Head Coach of Girls Basketball at Rabun Gap, bringing 26 years of varsity head coaching experience and a career record of 438–219. Now in his 19th season at Rabun Gap, Coach Earnhardt has built one of the most respected girls basketball programs in the Southeast. His teams have consistently competed at the highest level, earning championship success while helping student-athletes achieve collegiate opportunities. Known for his disciplined, competitive approach and commitment to long-term player development, Coach Earnhardt prepares athletes for success both on the court and in the classroom.
