Historic Championship Success: 2024 NCISAA State Champions, securing the first football state title in school history with a 42–39 victory over Providence Day School.
Elite College Placement: 20+ current players with Division I offers. Rabun Gap Football alumni have continued their careers at institutions including Vanderbilt University, University of Alabama, University of Michigan, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Syracuse University, Minnesota, Arkansas State, Campbell University, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, and more, demonstrating the program’s ability to prepare players for success at the next level.

Meet Our Coach

Coach Derek White is the Head Football Coach at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, bringing a championship-caliber résumé and a proven record of player development. A six-time state championship coach and two-time State Coach of the Year, Coach White has placed more than 100 student-athletes in top college programs, with three former players reaching the NFL.
Prior to Rabun Gap, Coach White revitalized programs across the Southeast, leading teams to first-ever championships and sustained success in some of the region’s most competitive leagues. Since arriving in 2022, he has elevated Rabun Gap Football to national prominence while fostering a culture rooted in relationships, leadership, academic excellence, and championship standards.
