With access to premier courses, personalized instruction, and year-round development, our student-athletes refine their skills while preparing for collegiate competition and lifelong success.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Elite Competition: Competes in NCISAA Division I within the Carolina Athletic Association (CAA), facing strong regional opponents.
Year-Round Development: Regular season runs February–May, with optional fall and winter offseason training to support continuous improvement.
Premier Training Venues: Primary home course at Sky Valley Country Club, with additional play and training at Cullasaja Club, Highlands Country Club, High Hampton, and other top mountain courses.
Personalized Instruction: Five days per week of offseason training opportunities, including drills, range sessions, and on-course play with community coaches and local teaching professionals.
Alumni Connection: Assistant coaching support from a Rabun Gap alumnus and Cullasaja Club golf professional, provided at no additional cost to students.
College-Ready Preparation: Emphasis on discipline, course management, and competitive mindset aligned with collegiate expectations.

OUR HOME COURSE

Rabun Gap Golf competes and practices at nearby Sky Valley Country Club. Located at 3,500 feet of elevation—the highest golf course in Georgia— the Sky Valley Golf Course provides cooler conditions and breathtaking scenery that enhance both training and competition. The semi-private facility features bent grass from tee to green, a practice range, large putting green, and access to PGA professional instruction.

Meet Our Coach

Coach Nathan Cox '14 is the Head Boys Golf Coach at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, taking the helm of the program in 2024. A proud member of the Class of 2014, Coach Cox brings a deep connection to Rabun Gap and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the course. He emphasizes skill development, discipline, and sportsmanship, guiding golfers to reach their full potential while fostering a love for the game. Under his leadership, the program continues to build on its tradition of excellence in the classroom, on the course, and beyond.
