Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s Alma Mater is a tradition that unites alumni from across the decades with even our youngest students.  The final line, when sung (or shouted) is a pledge to stay connected to those who share the unique experience of a Rabun Gap education and to care for this remarkable community of teachers and learners.

The Alumni Patio

In December of 2017, we announced plans to construct a new dining hall. We are now pleased to share with you that our New Community Dining Hall will include an outdoor patio space dedicated to the loyalty and generosity of our alumni. This beautiful space will overlook areas of campus rich with memories and meaning: The gazebo given by faculty and constructed by Dess Oliver and his students, the old gym which served as the hub of student activities and now houses the Evelyne Sheats Lower School, the old Dairy Barn where students continue to work recycling and planting, and the A&T where creativity and friendships continue to bloom.

The Alumni Patio and New Community Dining Hall will stand where alumni have walked for generations, forming the bonds of fellowship and community that will strengthen Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School for generations to come.

This patio will feature a special plaque recognizing alumni who, each year, support Rabun Gap’s mission and operational needs with a donation as little as $9 per month or more. Included in this letter you will find a rendering of the plaque already populated with the names of our alumni donors thus far in the 2017-2018 year. There is still time to make a donation. Alumni who give or pledge between now and the end of our fiscal year on June 30, 2018 will be listed on the 2017-2018 plaque.
