We are an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Founded in 1903, Rabun Gap continues a legacy of Work Study Worship and brings culture and community to the Northeast Georgia mountains.

Founded in 1903, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School serves students in Pre-K through 12th grade. We are one of the premier independent boarding and day schools in the country.
Rabun Gap students have a 100% college acceptance rate and placement includes the nation's most selective institutions including Harvard, Princeton, Duke, Brown, and Emory as well as highly regarded colleges and universities both domestic and abroad.
The faculty to student ratio is 12:1 with 85% of faculty residing on campus. Most faculty have advanced degrees.
The campus is located on 1,400 acres and includes many environmental and outdoor education opportunities, including environmental stewardship programs (ESP).
Rabun Gap has a highly acclaimed arts and theater program including a full orchestra, choral program, and one of the longest running high school Cirque programs in the nation.
The athletic program includes 28 varsity and middle school competitive sports teams with accolades at the conference and state levels.
Rabun Gap has an enrollment of 600 boarding and day students across our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. There are approximately 140 students at the Lower School (Pre-K through 5th Grade), 110 students at the Middle School (Grades 6-8), and 350 at the Upper School (Grades 9-12).
We are primarily a boarding school, with more than half of our Upper School students living on campus as boarding students. Our boarding students live and learn among day students from Northeast Georgia, Western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina.
