Hi, I am Todd Wass. I teach 7th grade World Geography and 8th grade American History. Also, I am the middle school baseball and soccer coach and run the outdoor program for the middle school. I graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee with a B.A. in American Studies. I am currently working on my M.Ed. in Social Studies Education at Georgia State University. I am also a graduate of NOLS, National Outdoor Leadership School, where I took the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Educator Course in the summer of 2006. My academic interests include the social and cultural history of America; specifically popular culture, world geography, professional mentoring of young teachers, MSR (Map Speed Relays), PSR (Presidential Speed Relays), and blogging. As for my personal interests, I enjoy the outdoors (climbing, backpacking, hiking, whitewater rafting, cartography, frisbee golf…), NPR, triathlons, running in the rain, cycling, teaching, intellectual conversations, This American Life, The Dirtbag Diaries, google reader, a good book, and Scrabble (my secret obsession).
